Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Marie LaCaze Perkins will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale –Downtown location with longtime family friend, Bro. Donald Scott and Pastor Mike Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Occupy #2 Cemetery, Pitkin under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Perkins, 82, of Pitkin entered eternal rest on Friday, March 5, 2010 in her residence with her family near her side. She was a member of Occupy #2 Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her life was spent devoting her time and love to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, grandson, David Christopher Perkins and her husband of fifty-eight years, Edgar Perkins, Sr. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her son, Edgar Perkins, Jr. of Madisonville; daughter, Linda Keen of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter, Charlene Babcock and her husband, Rod of Pitkin; daughter, Betty McCartney of Ottawa Lake, Michigan; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeffrey Keen, Michael Babcock, Matthew Babcock, Brandon Perkins, Cody McCartney and Christian Perkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Gurvis Cloud, Larry Perkins, Clyde Cloud and Johnny Cloud. The family would like to express special thanks to our three angels – Liz Mancil, Sylvia Snyder and Teresa Droddy.
