Janssen, 95, Platte Ceneter, died Thursday in Omaha. He had been in failing health the last five years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran church, Platte Center. The Rev. E.H. Neben will officiate and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial cemetery, Columbus. The body is to lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday at McKown Funeral Home, and at the church Monday from 9 a.m. to the time of service. The son of Bernhard and Margaret Osterloh Janssen, he was born May 7, 1873, in Oldenburg, Germany. He came to the United States with two sisters at the age of 17.
