Jan Mulkey Magee, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, in Ennis, Texas. Burial will be at Myrtle Cemetery. Jan was born on December 13, 1935, in Ennis, Texas, to the late Keith and Tina Beth (Wheeler) Mulkey. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1954. On April 9, 1966, she married Charles H. Magee, Jr. They originally made their home in Corsicana from 1966 to 1990, when they returned to Ennis. Jan worked for Gibraltar Life Insurance Company, the Corsicana Livestock Auction, and retired from the Bank of America. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ennis where she sang in the choir and the American Business Women’s Association. Jan enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include her son, Ret. Col. Robert Keith Magee and his wife, Debbie; daughter, Janet K. Magee; four grandchildren; brother, Ret. Col. David K. Mulkey; sisters, Judy Gray and her husband, Jerry, and Jo Beth Ellis and her husband, Hugh; along with a host of extended family and friends. B1
