Frank Louis Vanek, 81 of Vernon, Texas died on Friday, January 8, 2021, in Vernon, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Phil Petta officiating. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Frank was born Monday, May 8, 1939 in Penelope, Texas, he was the son of the late Joseph C. Vanek and the late Rosie Sykora Vanek. He married Linda Mae Chisholm on October 10, 1964 in Vernon, Texas. He served in the US Army for three years. He moved to Vernon in 2004 he lived in Amarillo prior to moving here. He worked for Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission out of Dumas, TX from 1965 to 1981 then in Amarillo, TX 1981 to 1988. He retired in 1993. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus. Frank is survived by his wife Linda Vanek of the home two daughters, Rhonda Vanek of Vernon, TX and Michelle Brewer of Amarillo, TX. His best girl and fur baby, Sassy. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home with a Rosary following at 6:00 pm at funeral home. Memorial can be made to Wilbarger Humane Society or U.S.S.V. Sullivan Funeral Home Vernon, Texas
