Bio

Eliza was the daughter of Isaac and Nancy Ripley. She was born in Texas after the family left Tennessee and settled in Texas in 1846. Eliza married David C. Hutchings in Delta County, Texas on 21 December 1876, but his exact date of death [sometime after 1880] and place of burial are currently unknown. The couple had one known son before David's death sometime before 1900. David and Eliza and son are all listed on the 1880 Federal Census for Lamar County, Texas. Eliza died of influenza at the home of her son Cal Hutchings in Ervin, Oklahoma.
