Valarian "Val" Raymond Kapustka 72, Roca, died Wednesday (4/30/08). Born in Arcadia, Neb. on July 8, 1935 to Andrew & Mary (Grabowski) Kapustka. Member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cheney, Neb., member of the Knights of Columbus, Perpetual Adoration, Local Carpenters Union, United States Marine Corps Veteran, served on the Flagship US 7th Fleet, the USS Bremerton (CA 130), with cruises off China, Formosa, and the South Pacific. Survivors: wife, Juanita Kapustka, Roca; son & daughter-in-law, Roger & Cheryl Kapustka, Hickman; daughters & sons-in-law, Cindy & Kerby Nelson, Hickman; Linda & Tom Ohlschwager, Fort Collins, Colo.; grandchildren & spouse, Jenny & Jason Hietbrink, Levi, Josh & Sierra Nelson, Jessie, Noah, & Adam Kapustka; Andrew & Anna Ohlschwager; great-grandson, Tate Hietbrink; sisters & brother-in-law, Martha Christen, Lincoln; Delores & John Epperson, Lake Mary, Fla.; many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by: parents; brothers, Ed, Louis, Leo & Ben; sisters, Minnie Kapustka, Helen Wiemann. Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Saturday (5/3/08) at Cathedral of the Risen Christ, 3500 Sheridan Blvd, Father Ken Borowiak officiating.
