Obit: Richard Dale Bennett was born 4-5-1943 in Ventura, CA to Richard & Edith M. Bennett. He was the first of three boys. His youngest brother, David Bennett preceded him in death and he is survived by his brother, Ronald Bennett. His family relocated to AZ and eventually settled in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School and attended North Texas State University for one year. He then married Carolyn Kay Bennett on 11-23-1961 and they had two children. Susan Lynne was born in 1962 and Richard Jeffrey was born in 1966. They moved to Charlotte, NC in 1967 and to Atlanta, GA in 1969 where their children attended school and married. Susan married Eric Haglund in 1992 and had Sydney and Emily. Jeff married Brittany Haynes in 1999 and had 8 children: Rachel, Karissa, Joshua, Benjamin, Jonah, Lily, Josiah, and Nathaniel. Susan's family reside in Georgia and Jeff's family reside in MS. .......... The funeral service to celebrate the life of Richard Dale Bennett will be Wednesday at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
