Mary Ann Grudzinski Swan passed away December 17, 2020, at Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Lindon, Utah due to complications of alzhiemers. Mary Ann was born March 31, 1940 to Edmund Paul Grudzinski and Lola Grace Gardner in Walla Walla Washington. In 1959 Mary Ann met Jerry Swan at BYU in Provo, Utah and they would later get married in the Los Angeles California Temple on March 17th, 1961. Throughout her life she enjoyed doing genealogy, creating and capturing memorable experiences, giving gifts, remembering people's names and something special about them, and bearing her testimony of Jesus Christ. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, 3 sons, Tom, Red, and Robert Swan, children in law past and present, Alisha, Arlo, Dayna, Lori, Nichole, Susan, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her father, mother, and stepfather Howard Myers, her brother Eddie Grudzinski(Carol, living), her daughter Kathy Swan Hulick, and her children in law Melanie"Missy", and Scott. Mary Ann and Jerry celebrated 59 years of marriage. During that time they raised 4 children in Stockton California. Mary Ann was a homemaker and a preschool teacher and she enjoyed remodeling their home in Stockton California. For a time they owned and operated the Swan Sweetheart cabin in Big Trees Arlous, California. She enjoyed carefully preparing the cabin for guests, especially newlyweds and her family, to have a special experience there. Mary Ann and Jerry later moved to their home in Pleasant Grove Utah in 2013 to spend more time with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. An evening viewing will be held for Mary Ann on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary with a private family viewing prior to the services. Interment will be January 5, 2021 next to her father in the Teton Newdale Cemetery in Sugar City, Idaho. Jerry Swan has requested that you don't bring flowers if you decide to come to any of the events. Other items will be provided at the events in place of flowers that are more helpful for Jerry to remember Mary Ann by.
