Bio
Kenneth Ray Childers, 87, of Eula died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at an Abilene hospital. A private family graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020, at the May Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Kenneth was born June 12, 1933 in Greenville to Delton and Bessie (White) Childers. He graduated from Sidney High School. Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1956. He married Patsy Swindell in May, Texas, on April 18, 1958. Kenneth was a salesman for Carroll Welding for 25 years. He is survived by his wife Patsy of Eula; son Mark Childers and wife Terri of Potosi; daughter Kim Childers of Christoval; sister Barbara Shaw; three grandchildren, JR Page, Kristi Loewen and husband Willie and Kaci Childers; and four great grandchildren, Khole Page, and McKinlee, Oaklee and Landry Loewen. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leon, Bobby and Chester (Boots) and sister Patricia Sikes.
