Bio

Elsie Nash, 92, of Anacoco, passed from this life on Friday, November 28, 2008 in Sulphur, La. Survivors include two sons; six daughters; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 29 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ida Nash of Burr Ferry, Nona Johnson and husband Buddy of Shreveport. Preceded by her husband Ollie Benjamin Nash, two sisters Carrie Myers, Carol Haymon; one brother, Lynn Nash. Elsie was a life resident of the Vernon Parish Area, living in Burr Ferry since 1945. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother and attended the Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church. Her services will be held at Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church of Burr Ferry, on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 1 p.m. Rev. James Herrington and Rev. Malcolm Jeane will be officiating the service. Burial was in the Burr Ferry Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Pallbearers were David Eakin, Steve Marshall, Jesse Nash, Less Nash, David Nash and Lanty Wylie.
