Daughter of: Dr. E. W. and Bertha (Hall) Hawthorne Marjorie Wayne Hawthorne (January 28, 1902 - May 5, 1994) Marjorie Wayne Hawthorne ANAHUAC, Texas - Marjorie Wayne Hawthorne, 92, Anahuac, died Thursday, May 5, 1994 at Leisure Lodge Nursing Center, Anahuac. Miss Hawthorne was born January 28, 1902, at Gypsum, Kansas, and was a resident of Anahuac since 193l, moving from Milwaukee where she had lived since 1928. She helped manage the family farm and was an interior designer and artist. She was a member of Anahuac Fine Arts Club, Art League of Baytown, Houston Art League and Watercolor Society of Houston. Survivors include nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Thursday, May 12, 1994, at the First United Methodist Church, Anahuac, Texas with Rev. Richard Laster and Mr. Bobby Scherer officiating. Inurnment was in Gypsum Cemetery. The Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main, Anahuac, Texas 77514, handled arrangements.
