Shirley (Wardyn) Kosmatka, age 75, of Chesterton, IN, passed away on Saturday, at Porter Campus Hospital, Valparaiso, IN. She was born on November 30, 1944, in Jefferson, Iowa, to Hubert and Sally Mae (Golus) Wardyn. Shirley is survived by her husband, Richard Kosmatka; children, Angie (Tom) Evans, Dan (Maria) Roths, Dena Roths, Bryan (Shawn) Roths, Jeff Roths; step daughter, Amy Schultz; step son, Troy (Nora) Kosmatka; brother, Tom (Mary) Wardyn; grandchildren, Cassie (Austin) Parker, Jillian, Myles (Abby) and Garrett Evans, Marshall, Rachel and Pete Roths and Garrett and Lauren Roths; step grandchildren, Justin and Brandon Schultz and Josie and Violet Kosmatka; step great-grandchildren, Olivia, Owen and Bayne Evans; former husband and friend, Wayne Roths. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Sally Mae Wardyn; her son, Dwayne Roths; brothers, Jack, Hubert, Richard and Gene Wardyn and sister, Kathy Allshouse. Shirley was a member of Chesterton Women of the Moose and American Legion Post #170. She loved to play bingo with her friends and enjoyed garage sales and resale shops. Most importantly she enjoyed her time spent with family. She always welcomed a chance to get together with her children and grandchildren. Due to Covid restrictions the family will have a private Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304
