Cleon Irvin was born on October 10, 1908, and went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2003. He passed away at his daughter's home with his family by his side. His parents, John and Mary Ellen Irvin, were sharecroppers in TX. Cleon's nine siblings included a set of twins and a set of triplets. He married Lula Morgan in 1932, and they migrated to CA with their infant daughter in 1936, where they worked as farm laborers. He later owned two farms, one of which was where the Edison Social Club now sits. He also worked for 26 years for the Fresno City Unified School District. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, his son Ronald, and all of his siblings. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Gloria and Rick Chini, and Reginald and Carol Irvin. He also leaves five grandchildren and their spouses, Alan and Mary Means, Tim and Helen Means, Katrina Means, Melissa Irvin, and Amanda Irvin and step-grandson, Richard Chini; and five great-grandchildren, Alicia, Candice, and Brian Means, and Jordan and Tabitha Irvin. His family thanks St. Agnes Hospice for their caring support and ask that donations be made to them in lieu of flowers.
