Bio
Dagmar Ann Kubecka Filip passed away peacefully on November 21, 2020 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her loving and beloved husband of 50 years, Joe E. Filip, Jr. She deeply felt the loss every day since he passed away 22 years ago, and she also still felt the loss of her dear parents 62 years ago. Dagmar was one of 8 children born to Peter Frank and Frances Marie Barecky Kubecka. The 5 beloved siblings who preceded her in death were Iola Tylich, Oswald Kubecka, Leo Kubecka, Sybil Ruyle, and Florence Gary Braden. Her cherished sister Erlene Psencik Zavadil and brother Pete Kubecka Jr. survive Mrs. Filip. She is also survived by her 6 children and their spouses: Deborah Filip, Joseph Filip, Glenn and Holly Filip, Judy and Bill Hays, Ruth and Jimmy Hollowell, and Les Filip; grandchildren Jacob and Allison Filip, Rachel and Austen Trimble, Melissa and Clinton Tully, Kyle Hays, Jimmy Hollowell, Jr., Ann Marie and Jerry Maikoetter, and Elaine and Paul Boring; great-grandchildren June Marie and Emma Jo Trimble, Kylene and McKenzie Maikoetter, and Prayson Boring. Mrs. Filip also has a large extended family. Dagmar was privately laid to rest next to the love of her life, Joe Filip. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Contributions may be made in her memory to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, or to the charitable cause of your choice.
