They lived in various parts of the country including Arkansas, Washington, California, Georgia, Alaska and New York. George held several positions with the FAA, including Regional Director of the Alaskan and the Eastern Regions of the U.S. His roles required Florence to be a gracious hostess at many functions. She was a natural entertainer and enjoyed meeting people from around the world. She touched many lives with her sense of humor and her ability to make others smile. Upon George's retirement in 1974 they moved to Oak's North in Rancho Bernardo, California. They traveled the world and the United States for 18 years. In 1999 the two were married and settled back in Rancho Bernardo. More adventures took place, traveling to England, New Zealand, Australia and around the United States.
