These bequest are indispensable to the progress of medical science and to the health and welfare of the citizens of the state and nation. This is a significant contribution to future generations for which money cannot substitute and perpetuates an individuals usefulnes to society past his lifetime. Each participant will train not less than four new doctors and the valuable new data gained from each study may assist in advancing the treatment or alleviation of various diseases. What more fitting memorial can one leave behind than a medical advancement capable of ensuring life and health for thousands, among them perhaps ones own children and grandchildren. After the study in which the donor has participated is complete, there were several available choices regarding the final disposition of the donor. If requested to do so the Anatomy Department will return the cremated ashes in a suitable container at its own expense to the surviving relatives for final disposition. If no such request is made, the ashes will be interred in an Omaha cemetery with an appropriate ceremony. Unfortunately for the surviving relatives of James Henrichson this did not happen. The family was never contacted about the return of the remains. Perhaps this was grandpas wish, we will never know. The relatives of James Henrichson searched until 2010 for the whereabouts of James Henrichsons remains were. Paul Becker, the Director, Deeded Body Program Nebraska Anatomical Board gave us the information that James was studied, cremated and intered in the 1987 UNMC grave at Westlawn Hillcreast Cemetery Omaha.
