Schoenchen -- Mrs. Jacob (Geneva) Randa, 87, a lifetime Schoenchen resident, died Friday, May 28 at the Rush County Memorial Hospital, LaCrosse. She was born Feb. 4, 1895 at Schoenchen. She married Jacob Randa on Oct. 28, 1928 at Schoenchen; he died Nov. 25, 1960. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Survivors include five sons, Eugene Werth, Wichtita, Severine Werth, Schoenchen, Ellmore Pfannenstiel [sic actually daughter Eleanor], Gallup, N.M., Elmer Randa, Ransom, Gerald Randa, Schoenchen; seven daughters, Loretta Dinges, Schoenchen, Irene Herrman, LaCrosse, Mabel Schmidt, Antonino, Edna Dinges, Hays, Mary Klaus, McCracken, Jenny Rebel, Ness City, Bernice Holmes, Schoenchen; three stepsons, Sylvanus and Edwin Randa, Brighton, Colo., Victor Randa, Wichita; three stepdaughters, Bertha Munsch, Schoenchen, Celestina Mills, Brighton, Colo., Leota Wagner, Russell; two sisters, Johanna Munsch, Schoenchen, Euphrina Weber, Denver; one brother, Matt Zimmerman, Hays; 15 (sic actually 51) grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 34 step great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and one step great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen, Father John Poell officiating; burial in the church cemetery. Friends can visit from 2 - 9 p.m. today at the Janousek Funeral Home, LaCrosse. An altar society rosary will be 7:30 tonight at the church. Hays Daily News, 5/30/1982
