Notes~ No stone has been found for her. Indiana State Board of Health Certificate of Death No. 81-032956, for Indianapolis, Marion County, records Helen L. McWhirter, white female, age 70y, and a widow, died on September 4, 1981 at home, at 3350 S. Lyons St. in Indianapolis, of "Cardiac Arrest", due to "Congestive Heart Failure." She was the daughter of William Owens, and Mary [Grose], birthplaces not noted. Jack McWhirter, her son, was the informant. She was buried at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Johnson County on September 8, 1981, Farley Funeral Home of Indianapolis, in charge. [Provided by Mark McCrady and Cathea Curry]
