Barbara Lynn Grieger, 52, of Taylor died Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM with the rosary to be recited at 7 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life Mass will be 10 AM, Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylor with Msgr. Lonnie Urban officiating. Burial to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Taylor. Barbara was born on February 20, 1951 in Taylor, the daughter of Gilbert and Alice (Marek) Grieger. She was a lifetime resident of Taylor, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the KJZT, and St. Ann's Altar Society. Barbara always welcomed everyone with a smile on her face. She enjoyed outside strolls and watching children and animals play. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was truly our inspiration. Survivors include her parents, Gilbert and Alice Grieger of Taylor; two sisters, Judy Whatley and husband Glen, and Marie Richter and husband Ken, all of Taylor; a brother, John Grieger and wife Shauna of Great Falls, Montana; nieces and nephews, Keith and Heather Whatley, Julie and Mark Gignac, Jennifer and Scott Prinz, Laura Whatley, Lance and Kris Richter, Joshua Richter, Garrett Grieger, and Lindsay Grieger; great nephew, Tyler Prinz. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family of Barbara expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff at SPJST Nursing Home of Taylor for the loving care they provided to her throughout the years.
