Bio

Winnie Hutto Sugg, 87, of Houston, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. She is preceded in death by husband John D. Sugg, married 66 years and parents George W. Hutto and Susie Attaway Thomspon Hutto. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Hatfield, and many, many nieces and nephews and numerous other family members. During WW II Winnie built Liberty ships at Todd Ship Yard, later she worked in the retail Industry in sales and purchasing at Shudde Brothers Store in Downtown Houston. Winnie was also a very active volunteer in her community. Funeral services were held on Saturday February 24, 2007 at the Woodlawn Chapel. Interment followed at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
