Bio

Nina (Hutto) Stutts Suddreth, age 96, of Tomball, was called to The Lord in the early morning hours of Monday, February 6, 2006. Born in Groveton, Texas, October 3, 1909, to Susie and George Hutto. She was the eldest daughter in a family of ten children. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Married Isaac Stutts, December 25, 1928 and came to the big city of Houston the same day, eventually moving to Spring Branch area and helping her husband, Isaac, run Stutts Electric Company until his death in 1964. In 1968, she married Sterling Suddreth. They retired to Somerville, Texas, in 1972 where they enjoyed farming. After Sterling's death, she moved to Tomball to be closer to her daughter and family. Nina became a member of Tomball First Baptist Church. Where she performed in their Senior choir and was an avid participant of the "Recycled Teenagers" kitchen band with the Senior Center in Tomball. She performed with the band at numerous Tomball area nursing homes, assisted living homes and churches. She took great joy from each and every performance and was quite active into her 95th year. Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Susie and George Hutto, her husband, Isaac Stutts, her second husband, Sterling Suddreth, her sisters and brothers; Robert Hill, Rachel, Milton, Austin, Winnerd, Cloe Meta and Dillard, nephews Bob Hutto and Gene Hatfield. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Milford Killion; granddaughter, Carrie; sisters Winnie Sugg and Dorothy Hatfield; close nieces, Brenda and Lynda and their families. Numerous other nieces and nephews and their families. Special friends Katherine and Vera Thein. A special thanks and appreciation to the caregivers at Harvest Home and her neighbors in Tomball. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 9, 2006 in Tomball First Baptist Church with Rev. Dick Lintelman, officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
