Bio

STEPHENVILLE - R.Y. Gann, public works director for Stephenville for 27 years, died Thursday in Arlington. He was 72. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell. Mr. Gann was born in Iredell and had lived in Erath County for 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Iredell Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors: Wife, Hellon Gann of Stephenville; son, Rodny Gann of Arlington; three sisters, Alma Hudson of Haltom City, Wilma Ogden of Austin and Margie Baxter of Meridian; and one grandson.
