Bio
John E. "J.E." Grubbs, 79, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007. He was a native and lifelong resident of Elsanor. Grubbs served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Monsanto in Pensacola. Survivors include his wife, Alice Grubbs; three daughters, Diane Rodriguez, Sharon Booker and Stacy Harris, all of Elsanor; a son, John Grubbs of Mobile; two sisters, Carrie Vance of Robertsdale and Dottie Sue Mitchell of Pensacola; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mack Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Robertsdale. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Little Sisters of the Poor in Mobile. Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home of Robertsdale.
