Dottie Sue Mitchell 1936-2017 Dottie Sue Mitchell, 80, passed away on March 6, 2017. She was born in Robertsdale, Alabama on August 4, 1936 and was a long-time resident of Pensacola. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie L. Mitchell, sister Carrie Vance and brothers John and Edward Grubbs. She is survived by her three sons, Dale, Randy (Mickie) and Danny Mitchell, all of Pensacola, three grandchildren, Melanie Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell and Kaytlyn Applegate and two great grandchildren, Bella Mitchell and Preslee Applegate. Pallbearers will be Allen Vaughn, Ken Stroud, Clay Meyer, Charles Barton, Freddy Ortiz and Everett Eddins. Dottie loved boating, gardening, cooking and baseball and was a member of a local Baptist church. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. There will be a service held at Eastern Gate on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
