Norbert Anton Matula Norbert Anton Matula of Taylor, Texas passed away March 23, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas, at the age of 86. Norbert was born in Granger, Texas, on March 31, 1938, to Henry Matula and Bernadette Matula (Cervenka). Norbert married Barbara Ann Zieschang on June 12, 1965. They were married for 59 years. He was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church Noack. He retired from ALCOA Rockdale, Texas after 30 years of service at the age of 54. Norbert survived by his wife, Barbara Matula; daughter, Stefanie Matula; step-granddaughters, Lidia, Tiana, and Elena Kivil; as well as his sister, Dorothy Rozacky. He was preceeded in death by his parents; his sister, Evelyn Vrana; and brother, Frank Matula. Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home on March 29, 2025, at 1 p.m. with services to follow at 2 p.m. A committal will follow after services are rendered at Taylor City Cemetery.
