Byron "Judge" Murphree, 77, of Oneonta, AL., passed away on September 16, 2020 at Princeton Medical Center. He was a welder for 40+ years and he retired from the City of Oneonta. Preceding him in death were his parents N.B. and Myrtie Yarbrough Murphree; brother P.W. Murphree; two infant sisters and granddaughter Bella Robinson. He leaves behind his wife Lanette Rigsby Murphree; daughters Vicki (Johnny) Robinson, Tonya (Stephen) Hill and Valerie (Bill) Talley; grandchildren Shawn (Paige) Robinson, Becca (Chase) Moore, Natalie Tolbert, Jordan Hill, Harrison Hill, Ella Hill and Sam Robinson; great grandsons Oliver, Arthur and Bennett Moore. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Lemley Funeral Home from 12 Noon until 2 PM. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home following the visitation at 2 PM. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
