A. L. Sherman Dies Monday; Rites Pend Albert Leonard Sherman, 83, 315 S. Walnut, died Monday afternoon at Bartlett Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was retired from the State Highway Department. Sherman was born Sept. 8, 1889, in Illinois, and moved to Oklahoma during the land rush. He has lived in Sapulpa since 1925. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle, of the home; three sons, Alfred and Clarence, Sapulpa, Kenneth, Marion, Ore.; one step-son, Wade Hood, Simi Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Mini Matlock, Sapulpa, and Mrs. Vena Burton, Porterville, Calif., five sisters, Mrs. Annie Ezzell, Sapulpa, Mrs. Minnie Butler and Mrs. Sadie Hoover, both of Chandler, Mrs. Vinnie Pool, Tex., and Mrs. Zona Rolland, Tulsa; 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
