Bio

Beulah Faye Whisman Partain Beulah Faye Whisman Partain was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on October 24, 1925, the oldest child of Curtis and Christina Whisman. She shed her weary, earthly body to enter Paradise on August 15, 2020. She is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years, Wayne Partain, her sons, Terry Partain (Luci), Don Partain (Marilynn), Joseph Partain (Carole), Bill Partain (Susan), and daughter, Sue Partain Matthews (Michael). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and her sisters, Doris Pope and Ruth Woodfin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Esther White. Faye had a gentle, reserved manner but influenced many people in her lifetime by always putting God first in her life. Many have praised her as a godly, virtuous woman and have expressed their gratitude for her example and counseling. She has been a faithful member of the Church of Christ all of her life. In recent years, she and her husband have worked and worshiped with the Iglesia de Cristo at Mable and Myers. The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the church for the genuinely heart-felt, loving care they have shown our parents. Faye loved to sing in harmony with her beautiful alto voice. She grew up singing with her sisters and with the church. Throughout their marriage, Faye and Wayne were always singing together, whether washing dishes, riding in the car…wherever they were – Wayne would start a song and Faye would join right in. Gardening also brought her much joy. She planted a rose garden everywhere they lived, and the roses almost always thrived with her care. A private family funeral will be held Monday, August 24, 2020 at Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa, Texas, with Fabian Lopez officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel. "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
