H.M. McMillan LEVELLAND (Special) - Services for Hector M. McMillan, 78, of Levelland, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fifth Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Nolan Sumner, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Directors.McMillan was dead on arrival at Cook Memorial Hospital in Levelland at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday following a sudden illness at his home.A native of Houston County, he moved to Levelland from Lamesa in 1924. He was employed by Hockley County several years and resigned in 1954. He was owner-operator of Heck's Wrecking Yard in Levelland and a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church.McMillan married the former Aubra Lee Richards at Cayote (TX) on Jan. 6, 1920.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Stallings of Ft. Worth; three sons, Hector L. , and Jerry, both of Levelland, and Bob of Brownwood; a brother, John of Valley Mills; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Lubbock (TX) Avalanche-Journal, Wednesday morning, January 15, 1975, Page A-13.
