Arlas "Bo" Olen English, 89, of Guys, TN passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at his home is Guys, TN. Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2020 from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home. The family requests that mask and social distancing guidelines be followed. There will be a private family only service to follow with interment in Henry Cemetery. Born June 20, 1931 in Adamsville, TN., Bo was the owner of Charles Truck stop, Jetties, and the Red Barn. He also worked at Brown Shoe factory in Selmer. He is one of the founding members of the Hatchie Bottom Boys. Bo has been playing Bluegrass music for 70+ years in the surrounding area. He is a well known Bluegrass musician in West TN and North MS and a member of the McNairy County Hall of Fame. Bo also loved to hunt, fish, the outdoors and camping. Bo is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Virdie Lee English; father, William Edward English; mother, Cladia Besada Varnell English; brothers, Arnold English and wife Imogene and Neil English and brothers-in-law , P.J. Haynes and Robert Tucker. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Arlas "Bo" Olen English.
