Bio
The son of James Madson Chandler and Lena Catherine West. James was born in Milam County, Tx before moving to Comanche County. He served for just over a year at the end of WWI as a PFC in the US Army. His draft cards described him as medium height and build, gray eyes and light brown hair. After getting out, he married his sweetheart Audie Ree Barnes and went back to farming. Together they had three girls Catherine, Peggy, and Nora. He continued to farm in the Comanche County area for the rest of his life. James passed away at 89 years old as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
