Graveside services for Lester Cleo "Little Boy" Pierce, 92, of Palestine, Texas will be at Liberty Cemetery at Bradford with the Rev. Mike Drinkard officiating under direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home, Palestine. Mr. Pierce died Sept. 4, 2007, in a Palestine hospital. He was born June 21, 1915, in Navarro County to the late Tom Dave Sr. and Rebecca Elizabeth Knighton Pierce. He served in the Army during World War II and was a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Rogers Pierce, one son, two brothers, one sister and seven half-siblings. Survivors include his wife, Mary G. Pierce; sons, Lester Cleo Pierce Jr., John Thomas Pierce, and Roger Carl Pierce; daughters, Rebecca Pishney, and Addie Ward; brother; sisters, Ovie Nell Costlow, Norma Johnson and Marie Hilton, and Lou Ellen Mills; nine stepchildren; nine grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
