Patricia “Patsy” Ann Rickert, 73, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in Waxahachie, Texas. Patsy was born in Ennis, Texas on December 9, 1946 to Wesley W. and Mary (Vavra) Honza. She grew up in Ennis and attended St. John High School. On March 28, 1963 she married Paul Rickert and they made their home in Ennis and Cedar Creek Lake. Patsy worked for Ennis Livestock Auction, Ellis County Livestock Auction, Navarro County Livestock Auction and Corsicana Livestock Auction. Patsy was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJZT and Knights of Columbus. Patsy’s family was the light of her life. She enjoyed traveling, puzzles and cooking for family. Spending time with her grandchildren was her favorite thing to do. Patsy is survived by her daughters: Stephanie Mummert and husband, Floyd and Patricia Cervantes and husband, Sammy; four grandchildren: Christopher and Clayton Mummert and Marcelina and Paula Cervantes; brother, Calvin Honza, Sr.; special friend, Jerry Crow and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Rickert; daughter, Mary Rickert and sister-in-law, Sandra Honza. A come and go visitation will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Rosary will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
