Herald Coaster, June 12, 1978: Funeral services for Mrs. Matilda Svec, 70, of Rosenberg, will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Forest Park Lawndale in Houston. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Davis and Dawson Chapel. Survivors include her husband, Joe Svec of Rosenberg; a daughter, Mrs. Leona Zella of Houston; two sons, Lawrence Svec of Rosenberg, Sylvester Svec of Richmond; three sisters, Julia Domorad, Molly Zapalac, and Emma Baca, all of Houston; two brothers, Edward Zapalac of Houston and Henry Zapalac of Sealy; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends may call after 3:30 Monday at the Davis and Dawson Funeral Home.
