Bio
Henry was the son of Jot Joshua and Teller Lambright Peevy. His parents are also buried in Garden of Memories. He shares a stone with his wife,Opal May West Peevy, who he married on 18 June 1938. OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Sunday, 8 January 1984: Mr. Peevy Funeral services for Henry Edward Peevy, 68, of Jacksonville will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Bailey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Roy Lee Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart. Mr. Peevy died Friday evening at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born July 7, 1915, in Anderson County, a son of the late Jot Joshua Peevy and Teller Lambright Peevy. He was a Baptist and had been a longtime employee of the Tex-A-Panel Co. of Jacksonville. Survivors include his wife, Opal May West Peevy of Jacksonville; a son, J. T. "Bill" Peevy of Whitehouse; two daughters, Mrs. Bobby (Sue) Tillman and Mrs. Paul (Doris) George, both of Jacksonville; his mother of Jacksonville, and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Herman Moore, Bobby Easley, Billy Bambeck, Danny Bambeck, Bill McKnight and Jimmy Cleaver.
