Bio

She was born to J. C. and Modena (Bearden) Hollingsworth. She married John William Gathings on December 24, 1953 in Graham. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1987. Mrs. Gathings was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Dean Gathings; and one stepson, Johnny Paul Gathings. Survivors include one son, William C. Gathings of Odessa; two stepdaughters, Linda Hall of Emory and Brenda McClendon of Gun Barrel City; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Graham Leader, October 1, 2006
