Bio

Bohumil "Bo" Hain, age 88, of Aurora died Monday morning, August 8, 2005, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, August 11th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Mgsr. Raymond Hain and Fr. Dennis Hunt will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the church, with the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Bohumil Joseph Hain, the son of John and Mary (Kolar) Hain, was born in Garland, Nebraska on January 10, 1917 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on August 8, 2005, at the age of 88. He attended Brainard Catholic Schools. Bo grew up farming in the Seward and Butler County areas. When Bo was 17 his father died and he took over the family farm, where he helped to raise his younger three brothers and two sisters. Bo was married to Henrietta Kobza on June 6, 1944 in Dwight, Nebraska. They moved to their farm near Aurora in 1958. Bo left farming to go into carpentry work in 1968. He began his maintenance job for Aurora Schools system in 1979. In 1982, Bo went to work for Hamilton Manor in the Maintenance Department. He retired in 1999 after 17 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Bo enjoyed his woodworking and helping others. He loved raising exotic pheasants, Angora and Boer goats. Bo loved gardening his vegetable and flowers. Bo especially loved his family and the time he spent with them. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Gregory. Bo is survived by his wife, Henrietta of Aurora; three sons, Bob (Mori) Hain of Pueblo, Colorado, Dan (JoAnn) Hain of Aurora, Nebraska, and Ken (Peggy) Hain of Lincoln, Nebraska; two daughters, Kathy (Tom) Launer of Lincoln and Donna (Jerry) Cronin of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
