Mavis Lusk, 94 of Blooming Grove, Texas passed from this life on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at her residence. She was born November 29, 1924 in Raleigh to Charlie and Ethel Lee Lewis Hollingsworth. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She is survived by her three children, Bobbie Houchins, Betty Russell and husband Don, and Bryne Young; two sisters, Bernice Prater and Odessa Smith; sister-in-law, Jean Hollingsworth; five grandchildren, Kerry and Joel Layfield, Brad and Belinda Russell, Matt and Lisa Young, Kevin Young, and Casey and Jennifer Young; fourteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren along with several loved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, June 21st from 1:00 - 3:00pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00pm with Bro. Darren Heil officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Young, Matt Young, Casey Young, Don Russell, Brad Russell and Joel Layfield.
