Bio
Audie Bernice Prater born July 7, 1918 in Drane, Texas to parents, Charlie Hollingsworth and Ethel Lee Lewis Hollingsworth. She attended Blooming Grove School graduating in 1936. She enjoyed all sports, excelling in basketball and baseball. She loved to run, crochet, read and do cross word puzzles. Bernice married Doyce Prater in August 1937. They were married 39 happy years. Doyce passed away December 6, 1976. They had no children. Bernice was a long time member of Central Baptist Church in Blooming Grove. In May 1938 she made a public profession of faith and joined the church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyce Prater; two brothers, Charlie Lee and Lewis Hollingsworth and sister, Mavis Lusk. Funeral Service will be 11:00am Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Central Baptist Church with visitation prior to from 10:00am - 11:00am. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery
