Penelope News By Mary Bruegger Our sympathy goes to Mrs. Bessie Holub Blahuta on the death of her husband, Emil Blahuts, age 77, who died in West Community Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Blahuta was born and raised in this area and was a retired farmer. He was a pleasant person who enjoyed a good game of dominoes. I cannot recall ever seeing him without a smile for everyone, and he liked to joke. He was a friendly man. The Rosary was said at Aderhold's Funeral Chapel, Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m. and was well attended. Rev. Publius Xuereb officiated. Funeral services were held at Aderhold Chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Xuereb officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Penelope. Birome News By Mozelle Austin Our sympathy goes out to the Blahuta family in the loss of their loved one. Emil Blahuta died in West Community Hospital Thursday, March 5. Services were held Saturday afternoon at West with burial in the (Tobola) Penelope Cemetery. The Frank Roskydals went to West Thursday, but Mr. Blahuta had died beforfe they arrived.
