Mary Elizabeth Praslicka, 93, passed away on June 30, 2020, in Ennis, Texas. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Mary was born on January 22, 1927, in Ennis, Texas, to the late William Albert and Mary Elizabeth Vrana Prachyl. She graduated from St. John High School in 1944 and attended Draughon's Business College. On November 25, 1950, she married John Josef Praslicka,Jr. and lived in Anton, Texas, for five years. They moved back to Waxahachie where they farmed until retirement. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph Altar Society and KJZT. She loved working in the garden and tending her flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Traveling and going to Czech dances were also some of her favorite activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brothers, William E. and Albin Prachyl; and son-in-law, Larry Haskovec. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Haskovec; sister, Georgie Galetka, brothers: Wesley Prachyl and his wife, Dorothy, Jerry Prachyl and his wife, Irene, and Alphonse Prachyl and his wife, Linda; grandchildren, Misty Allen and her husband, Jeff, and Tracie Wood and her husband, Lonnie; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Ashton and Peyton Wood, Briley and Grayson Allen; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
