F. Wayne Tolleson, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on June 27, 2020, with the love of all his family by his side. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Francis Wayne was born on December 8, 1941, in Ellis County, Texas, to the late Jesse Duke and Lillian Clark Tolleson. He grew up in Ennis, Texas, and graduated from Ennis High School, where he was an amazing, all-star athlete, playing football (#88); baseball (#13); basketball, and running track. On April 20, 1963, Wayne married a beautiful Czech girl, Irene Valek-Tolleson. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and a member of KJT Society #35. Wayne loved his family dearly, instilling a strong faith in God in his daughters. He was an amazing cook, especially his breakfast and BBQ. He was a dedicated truck driver for over 40 years, but in August 2005, he was happy to retire so he could spend more time with his love, Irene, and his family. He loved to fish, especially deep-sea fishing trips with his family, and all of his buddies. He loved to hunt, dance with his partner, Irene, and spend time with all his family. He felt privileged to be called “Uncle Wayne”. He was a mentor to his daughters, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. He had some famous mottos and if you knew Wayne, you knew these words of wisdom: “Life is a program you get what you put into it” “Everything is Lovely” “Disagree, Agreeably” “You might give out, but never give up” “Watch the other fellow” “It takes a little time, and a lot more patience” “It will all work out” He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Valek Tolleson. Survivors include his daughters: Kathleen Hollingsworth and her husband, Roger, Julie Rejcek and her husband, Dennis, Angela Sibley and her husband, Keith, grandchildren: Josh Hollingsworth and Jordan Miller, Barry and Mallori Hollingsworth, Brandy and Cameron Robinson, Ryan and Krista Rejcek, Nathan and Nicholas Rejcek, Hunter, Brett and Jake Sibley; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Taylor; sisters-in-law: Theresa Vavra, Lil Thompson, JoAnn Valek, and Dorothy Valek; brothers-in-law, Joe Valek and Kenneth Vavra; special nephew (who was like a brother), John Taylor and his wife, Kathaleen; along with many other special nieces and nephews.
