Bio
Clarence Daniel Savage, 97, died Saturday, June 7, 1997 at his home in Annabella, Utah. He was born October 5, 1899 in Box Creek, Piute County, Utah, to Cornelius and Fanny Edelia Goulding Savage. He married Leah Jane Mecham, June 28, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, February 26, 1931. Leah preceded him in death July 21, 1992. Clarence was an active member of the LDS Church. He and Leah served as ordinance workers in the Manti Temple. When Clarence was 12 years old, his family moved to Annabella where he continued to live, farming and sheering sheep throughout Utah, Idaho and Montana. He always had a large garden and enjoyed sharing the produce with family, friends and neighbors. In January 1996, Clarence moved into the Beehive Home in Richfield. As his family, we would like to express our appreciation for the love and care given to dad while he lived there.He is survived by one son and three daughters: Norma Ray (Wayland) Sorensen, of Las Vegas, NV; Dana Lee (Hal) Hatch, of Meridian, Idaho; Clarence Kay (Linda) Savage, of Las Vegas, NV; Gloria (Roger) Brown, of Heber City, Ut; 18 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, two brothers, Elan Savage and Nephi Savage, two sisters, Clara Roberts and Chloe Davis. Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon, June 9, 1997 in the Annabella 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Sunday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Annabella on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery.
