Burial in Salty Cemetery. Rev. Waldmar Wendel officiated. She was BORN 6/28/1897 in Lee Co. to M/M. Markert. Married C.O. Towery in 1967 in Austin. Member of Peace Lutheran Church. SURVIVORS: Husband, C.O. Towery of Rockdale; 3 daughters, Mrs. Rubye Mason of Tomball, Mrs. Doris Child of Austin and Mrs. Geneva Voss of Gelmer; brother, Theodore Markert of Taylor; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
