Funeral services for Duane Krueger age 72 of West Point, NE will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Point, NE with military honors. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be Friday from noon to 8 p.m. at the Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home in West Point. Relatives and friends can leave online condolences on Duane's Book of Memories at www.kuzelka-minnickfuneralhomes.com. Duane passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the West Point Living Center. Duane Lorne Krueger was born November 17, 1937 at West Point, NE to John and Ellen (Rinderhagen) Krueger. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Point, NE. Duane attended West Point Public Schools, graduating from West Point High School in 1956. He served in the United States Army between 1958 and 1962. On November 10, 1963, he was united in marriage to Janice Uhl at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sioux City, IA. Duane worked for 30 years at the West Point Rendering Plant and since 1991 has been employed at the West Point Dairy. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Point, NE, was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and formed the 4-Leaf Clover 4-H Club at West Point. Duane enjoyed working, collecting toy tractors, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include-Wife- Janice Krueger of West Point, NE.,Children-Loren and wife Janet Krueger of Des Moines, IA.,Kenneth Krueger of Omaha, NE Kevin Krueger of Omaha, NE.,Lori Allen of West Point, NE.,2 Grandchildren- Nicole and Cody Allen Siblings- LaDon and wife Carol Krueger of St. James, MN.,Dennis and wife Gloria Krueger of Stanton, NE.,Vernice Krueger of Oakland, NE Duane was preceded in death by his parents and daughter in infancy-Sheryl.
