Bio
Patrick Henry Valerian (“Pat”) was born on March 31, 1967, in East Bernard, Texas where he was the youngest of five siblings. Pat passed away on April 30, 2020, at age 53. He was the father of three beautiful children: Valerie, Thomas, and Travis. He was married to Ann Valerian for twenty-two years. Pat grew up in Wallis, Texas, with his mother, Georgia Valerian, and his father, Henry Valerian. He was passionate about football. He enjoyed playing it as a teenager and coaching his son as an adult. He loved fixing things, especially rebuilding his 1967 Chevy truck with his friends. He was a good troubleshooter, and there was never a piece of equipment he couldn’t fix. He loved to laugh with his family whenever times were tough, and there was always an animal at his side, especially his three current pets, Molly, Rudi, and Sammy. Everyone who knew Pat could see his tender heart and devotion to his faith. He loved praying the rosary with his son, Thomas, to ask for help from the beloved Virgin Mary and her only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. There was never a moment when he wasn’t concerned about the people closest to him. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Valerian; sister, Charlene Brietzke; and mother, Georgia Valerian (Svoboda). He is survived by his three children, Valerie Valerian, Thomas Valerian, Travis Valerian; brothers, Larry Valerian and wife, Joanne, Henry Valerian and wife, Mary Ann; sister, Judy Zapalac and husband, Ricky; and brother-in-law, Richard Brietzke; along with 6 nieces, 4 nephews, 7 great-nieces, and 4 great-nephews. His life reflected what it means to trust when all hope is lost. Every day came with a new challenge for him, but the hour has come where he rests in peace with his loving family members. He will be missed, and our hearts will remember the special moments with him.
