Melinda Nadine Simpson, 65, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was born on January 22, 1955 in Elk City, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Billy Joe and Delores Nadine (Ivy) Williamson. She passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City surrounded by her loving family. She married her best friend and sweetheart Peter Albert Simpson on January 10, 2000 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Melinda was a manager for Wag a Bag for over fifteen years until they were acquired by Dominoes. After the acquisition she remained with Dominoes for fifteen years managing their El Reno store until her retirement. Her hobbies included cross stitch and playing cards especially rook. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Main Street Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Marion Hadsell will officiate. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing her memory is her husband, Peter Albert Simpson; son, Michael Joe Lynn Stanley and his wife Krista of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter Amy Jo McClure and her husband Gregory of Dacoma, Oklahoma; sister, Mary Joetta Sword of Wheeler, Texas; grandchildren, Taelor Rae Valentiner and her husband Taylor of Dacoma, Oklahoma, Brieanna Jo McClure of Hooker, Oklahoma, Gracelyn Denae McClure and Gregory William McClure both of Dacoma, Oklahoma, Vanessa Jo Lea Stanley and Mikayla Lynn Stanley both of Yukon, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Blaklei JoAnn Valentiner and Brody Michael Valentiner both of Dacoma, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents. Memorials can be made to Hopeton Wesleyan Church, Yukon Church, or the charity of your choice in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O.
