Roy James Ellis, 82, of Center, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020, in Nacogdoches. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. Born August 20, 1937, in Houston, he was the son of the late Frank Ellis and Emma Eidner Ellis. He worked in construction. His hobbies included hunting, fast pitch softball, watching old westerns, and going to casinos. Mr. Ellis loved spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by: Wife, Judy Emanis Ellis of Center Children: Freddie James Ellis and wife Carolyn of Pasadena Garry Buck and wife Mary of Cypress Shari Bumpas and husband Michael of Montgomery Derek Chance of Cincinnati, Ohio Kristina Rountree and husband Justin of Elgin Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and a host of friends. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rudy Borrer; and brother, Albert Ellis.
