Laurel Leader Call Willie Earl Nichols, 78, of Ovett, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Perry County Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton, with burial in Tiger Creek Cemetery. The Revs. Royce Odom and B.R. Clark will officiate. He was a truck driver.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Nichols, and a son, Mikey Nichols. He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Lynn Nichols of Ovett; two sisters, Shelia Creel and Francis Sanders, both of Ovett; three brothers, Edward Nichols and Donald Dean Nichols, both of Ovett, and Roger Nichols of Grand Bay, Ala.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton is in charge of arrangements.
