She is the daughter of Wiley B. Parkhill and Mary Polly Wilder Parkhill. She married Enoch Fletcher Maples on Apr 4, 1866 in Woodville, Jackson, Alabama. She was 16 years old, he was 20. They had 7 known children: Mary (1867-1949), Harvey (1870-1909), Eliza (1872-1951), Minnie (1875-1934), Joe (1878-1959), Thomas (1881-1957), Lela (1884-1938) and Clarence (1888-1898). 1870 Census: She lived in Scottsboro, Jackson, Alabama with her husband and children: Mary, Harvey, and Thomas. She was a housewife. There was also an 8 year old that lived with them. His name is George W. Canamore. 1900 Census: She lived in Hunt County, Texas with her children: Thomas, Harvey, and Lela. She was widowed. She was the head of the household. She could read and write. She rented the house they lived in, which was a farm. 1904: She lived in Fannin County, Texas. 1910 Census: She lived on 2nd Street in Childress, Childress, Texas with her son Thomas. He was the head of the household. I have not been able to find out where she is buried.
